Who this sitting is for

Independent publishers, small studios, and in-house product leads who already sell an app and feel the monthly payout no longer matches what they thought they earned. You do not need a finance team. You do need exports you can share: App Store Connect financial reports, Google Play earnings, subscription refund lists, in-app product catalogues, and, if you use them, advertising network settlements.

The result is a written revenue reading: a letter that names what moved money, what is timing, and what is a genuine change in buyers. We do not take over bookkeeping, and we do not file tax returns.

What is included

• A preparatory file list sent after you book, so you know which months and which reports to export
• A first morning lining store periods against bank credits
• An afternoon on subscriptions: trials, grace, billing retry, and refunds
• A second morning on in-app packs: price tiers, regional prices, and which SKUs actually sold
• A second afternoon on advertising shares only if you run ads; otherwise that block returns to pack catalogue questions
• A letter of six to ten pages, delivered within five working days of the sitting
• A half-day follow-up, usually the next week, to walk the letter with whoever keeps the live listing

What is excluded

We do not rewrite store screenshots, set up accounting software, or speak to Apple or Google on your behalf. We do not forecast next quarter as a promise; we can sketch a cautious range if the last four quarters are complete.

Who sits with you

Readings are led by Farah Lim, who has spent years matching store files to studio cash in Penang and Kuala Lumpur. A second reader, Arjun Menon, joins when advertising settlements are part of the pack. You will know the names before the first morning.

How the days run

You arrive at Level 11, or you join a video room with the same printed stack. We work in three-hour blocks with a long lunch. You are expected to stay; the sitting is a conversation, not a drop-off. If a file is missing, we pause that thread rather than invent a number.

Duration and place

Two working days at the George Town room, with files due five days before. Publishers outside Penang often travel in for the two days. A paired video sitting is available when travel is impractical; the fee is the same because the file work is the same.

Preparation

Export monthly financial reports for at least two full quarters. Include a simple list of live in-app products with their store prices. If a colleague changed a price tier or a pack name during the period, write the date in a short note—we will ask anyway.

Constraints

We take two full readings per month so the letter is not rushed. If your files mix several apps under one legal entity, say so early; we may need an extra half-day, quoted before we start.

Price basis

From RM 6,800 for a single app with one store pair (Apple and Google). Extra apps, extra stores, or a heavy advertising stack are quoted after we see the file list. A 30% booking deposit holds the two days.
